One of the most horrific days in American history was 9/11 which occurred when thousands of people in New York lost their lives due to a terrible attack. Finally, as you come into the city, you will also want to visit the iconic Statue of Liberty. When you come to downtown, you will be able to catch a ferry to the Statue of Liberty. Once you arrive, you are free to explore Ellis Island and will be able to take a number of tours.

There are plenty of sightseeing cruises available that will take you around NYC Downtown and allow for best photo opportunities with the Statue of Liberty if you are short on time in NYC.
