This Wall Street museum in a grand former bank, celebrates how Alexander Hamilton – the subject of the current hit musical – set America on the road to becoming an economic superpower and New York one of the world’s financial capitals centuries ago.
As an associate of the Smithsonian Institution, the museum has a serious ambition to communicate American entrepreneurial and financial history but it’s all done in an entertaining and interactive way with exhibits about bank robberies, a Piggy Bank collection as well as a replica of the pistol from Hamilton’s fatal duel with the then US Vice President.
